I just got back home from Swissvale music in Pittsburgh. A guy that bought a StangRay off them 2 years ago met me up there to let me try it out. After the very 1st note i was sold! That amp just blew me away!! Man is it LOUD!!! I tried a head with a 1x12 cab with a Vintage 30. I love that it's real simple and all about TONE!!! I didn't want to stop playing it, the tone was so addicting!!! Thanks to everyone who led me to this amp and gave me GREAT advice on which amp to get. This is the one!!! I've decided to get a 1x12 cab with a Gold in it though. It's gonna be a few months before i have the money to get it, but it'll be well worth the wait!

You will not be disappointed! The ray and a single gold - you ain't heard hardly anything yet! The Ray with an Alnico = "And the heavens opened, and the glorious tones of angels singing could be heard across all the lands...".
Right now, mostly a Tele through a Nova. Somewhere in Florida with Hammerhead Lincoln (umm .... not really, cause I don’t actually have a band of my own). Hear us on Spotify or iTunes! Also check out Elliott James’ albums “Do the Freddo” and “Have Much Energy”. You’ll hear a variety of vintage guitars, amps, and Z’s!
Yeah the Stang Ray defnitely has that "wow" factor. Unfortunately, my income tax check won't even cover half of the price of a new Stang Ray, so it looks like i'll be saving for a couple more months. It'll be worth it when i have it though!
GuitarZ: They say you should be on the same page about kids before you get married. I really think you ought to talk about expectations on outdoor Christmas/Holiday lights. That could have been a game changer.

GuitarZ: Arggh! We had it on the calendar to stop out and see you but got caught up with holiday stuff. I could have met you & Frank & my wife could have connected with her friend from back in grade school. You snooze you lose. The FB videos sound great!

GuitarZ: Why is it once you finally clean the junk off your work bench, within 5 minutes, you find yourself ready to deposit some other junk right back on to that now clean space?

rossco: the variable e.q bypass is great because while bypassed it you get the raw sound of the amp without the e.q and everything else attenuating the signal which sounds great and a because its variable on the foot switch you can dial in to taste, 1/2 way I like

rossco: you don't have to fully bypass the tone stack which is great because gives you room to dial in your sound, it certainly thickens up the sound and adds nice growl/midrange growl. I don't like pedals so this replaces everything for me

easyed: It seems that the only time I clean off my workbench is when I need the space for something else. If I don't take a break, it's less than 5 minutes before that space is full again.
