My bad Mark! 4 hole is "stock" on the '52 Hot Rod. Just not the new American Standard which was my point of reference. That being said...the above-mentioned bridge looks pretty killer! Not sure about the upper cut though.

I like that upper cut but tonight while playing some, I notice I rely on resting my hand there somewhat on that upper ridge...hmmmm

Quick question (on an old thread). I just traded my '52 Reissue for a '52 AVRI Hotrod that was "un-hotrodded" (had a regular tele neck pickguard and pickup). Which is fine, I have a pickguard already and a pickup headed my way next week. But my question, I thought the Hotrod Tele's were supposed to have a satin finish U-neck, whereas mine is a glossy finish. It's definitely a U-neck with medium jumbo frets, but it's glossy. Did some of these have a glossy neck, or did the newer "Hotrod" teles (with the larger Humbucker) have a glossy neck?

Nevermind, this answered my question.. I pulled the neck and checked for the HOT ROD stamp: Must just have gotten rubbed smooth from playing it.
