I'm curious to see how you guys are setting your Jaz. Also what style and guitars are you using?
Here are my settings. I play country and use a RS Guitarworks Esquire loaded with a Ron Ellis Broadcaster pickup as my workhorse.
2x10 combo Master - Full Bass - 9:00 Treble - 10:00 Mids - 11:00 Volume - set to taste

HaHa, It's a little slow here.
I usualy set mine:
Treble 9;00 Mid Noon Bass 3/4
Then mess around with the master and volume. Usually around 1:30 on the volume amd same on the master. Works great for a Gibbons tone, and cleans up nicely with guitar controls.
Such a great amp...... I use LP's mostly.... love the low end of the JAZZ. When I'm playing with the band though I turn the bass down some. Around noon....

Here are a few that I've used, but I keep experimenting. Note that I have a 2x10 combo, so that's part of the equation.
Guitar: Tele Band: oldies/classic rock playing at outdoor concert Aim: mostly clean sound, use pedals for OD
V 10:30 T 11:00 M 1:30 B 8:30 Master Max reverb and trem to taste
Guitar: Eric Clapton Strat Using at home
V 10:30 T 1:30 M 9:30 B 8:00 Master 12:00
Guitar: Tele Another outdoor show with the oldies band
V 10:30 T 10:00 M 1:30 B 10:00 Master 1:30
The EC Strat is "mid heavy" imo even with its built-in active midboost off. That's why the amp middle is dialed back compared with the Tele settings. The 2x10 combo has a lot of bottom end, hence the modest bass.
As noted, I've mainly used this as a clean pedal platform in live settings so the volume knob is low and the master is up.

I've had a chance to do several shows with my JAZ and have got it dialed in. I play a Relic Nocaster and a custom strat w/Fralins. The settings are V-12:00;T-9:00;M-12:00;B-9:00;Mast-1:00 to full. Power is always full except at rehearsal. I have a 1x12 combo but I run it through a 2x10 cabinet. I have replaced the V1 tube with a NOS GE 12AX7. My pedal chain is: Barber Tone Press(used as a buffer), Wampler Paisley Drive, Xotic AC boooster comp, Analog Man Dual Delay, Klon Centaur(used as a clean treble boost for the strat) I've had several people tell me I have great tone. A couple of them were drummers. Go figure.

A couple of them were drummers. Go figure. Our drummer made the same comment about great tone the first time I used the JAZ in a show.
