I found one at a GC, and I'm wondering if anyone has ever seen a 2x10 combo before.

There have been a few around. I have seen pics here: ztalk.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=rxjr&action=display&thread=41442It's easy to take a RxJr chassis out of a 1x12 and slide it into a 2x10 from a Maz. I'm not sure if they were ever offered in a 2x10 combo. People here have done that. I think I remember hearing something about the percussive punch of the RxJr in a 2x10 combo, pissed off too many soundmen... I used my RxJr. head with the Z 2x10 and it's loud and punchy and really nice!

You've answered my question. I'm not spending a $1000 + on a home built /assembled amp- even if the parts are all z...

You've answered my question. I'm not spending a $1000 + on a home built /assembled amp- even if the parts are all z... The RxJr combo at 1,000.00 seems like a very good deal to me. Nothing home-built about it. As a matter of fact, I think the link to that picture says it was a factory one so they are out there. I don't see it as a big deal at all and think you should re-consider especially if you can get an RxJr. Combo for $1,000.00 and as long as it sounds good to your ears, which I think it will. When they build the combo cabinets and the head cabinets they are built to accommodate various chassis anyways, as Z-Amps "standardized" much of their product line and the holes all line up. So their combo cabinet can fit the 19" chassis of the StangRay, Maz Jr. and Maz Sr., Remedy, RxJr and RxES, Mazerati, Mazerati GT, Galaxie. FWIW, I have moved Maz, Jr. chassis between 2x10, 1x12 and 2x12 combo cabs, and custom built cabs and back again. I have also done the same with moving Ghias, Z-28, Monza and Minis in 1x10, 2x10 and 1x12 combos and heads. I can remove and re-install 4 chassis screws as good as anybody.
