I have an original Fender 'Squire" Strat from 1984....Made before they started making the real crappy ones. The quality was fine except for the crummy tuning machines. (still on the guitar, they don't slip, but after 20+ years, they are about done for.)
I think 1984 was either the first or second year they started making the Squire series. I love the neck and the pickups. I had it re-fretted and a custom wiring job for the pickups. (nothing big, just that the second tone knob controls both the middle AND bridge pickup now)
Are these considered a valuable? Or just as crappy as the late 80's and 90's Squire strats?
