I have a small pedal board that I need to wire up & I'm curious as to what others are using for cables. I'm interested in the George L cables but I'm concerned with how they will hold up in the long term. My other option would be to solder them myself. What are you using for pedal board cables?
Any current or past George L users care to comment on how they worked out?

I'm using Bayou Cables: bayoucables.com/pics/blues.jpgG&H plugs with Canare GS-6 cable. They're $9.95 to start, but you get to pick your cable color, gold or nickle plugs, and he'll do custom lengths for a nominal fee. Plus his customer service is great. He replaced my Neutrik right angles with G&H quickly and for no charge when the plastic cracked (after I stepped on them).

George Ls on my pedal board. The cables are stationary, so I've had no problems with the connections coming loose. George Ls also have the lowest published capacitance that I've found....19 pF per foot/62 pF per meter.

George L's all around ... both for my pedalboard and for my guitar>pedalboard>amp signal chain.

The George Ls are great for later on when you rearrange your board you can shorten or cut new longer ones to fit exactly what you want to do.

The George Ls are great for later on when you rearrange your board you can shorten or cut new longer ones to fit exactly what you want to do. Been using GL's for years, and they are great! The biggest feature is what Billy said, really easy from when you rearrange your board. And I've done that ALOT! The biggest gripe about the GL's is the end caps coming loose. If you put a little Elmer's White (School) glue on the threads, they won't come loose and are easy to un-do when the time comes.

So all in all the George L's seem to work well for pedal boards.. right? I really want the convenience of George L's but if they are going to fail a lot I'd rather solder G&H plugs onto the Mogami cable that I have.
As for the ends coming loose... I have a bottle of Loctite that should work well for keeping everything from moving.

The right angle stress relief jackets work great for that, plus they look cool and "pro" ....

Yes to George L's for all the above reasons. Been using them for years with no problems.

Ditto the George L's here. I have a few of the straight in plugs, but most are right angle and as far as I can tell, none have ever failed.
FYI they are now offering a nice plastic jacket that you push on the wire before you attach it to the plug, then pull it back over the plug and it keeps the screw cap from unscrewing if that's a big concern. As I said, I've never had that happen, but the caps are in different colors, so you could use them to color code stuff if that's your drill.

The prices on the George L site are a little high it seems... There are some ebay stores where I've seen the kits for about $50.

I looked all over when I bought my GL's. Ended up getting them from Pedal Geek. Same time I ordered my Luxury Drive. Super fast shipping and great to work with.
