I recently bought a James Trussart 'Rustomatic' Steelcaster. It sounds brilliant through the Ghia (+ airbrake to calm it down). Has anyone else tried a steelbodied guitar with a Z? If anyone has changed to a Maz from a Ghia can you let me know what you think please?

i love my buddy's steelcaster!
personally we both liked it better thru the ghia then the maz....but then again we both prefer all the rest of the z's to the maz's anyway....so maybe it's not really about the guitar....
the steelcaster has a great hollowbody vibe without getting "mushy".....

Yep, it's amazing. I was expecting a sort of twangy-zingy tone (if you know what I mean). The rustomatic thing: You either like it or not. Thanks for that. Keep on rockin' John Boy

I've always gassed for the Rusty Deville. Any of you guys tried one? I remember Stu at Fatsounds saying it was one of the best "Paul" sounds he'd heard.

I tried one, it was seriously expensive. I'm now lusting after a Melancon custon 'T'. Superlative Humbucking tones and orgasmic looks.....The US is where all the stuff comes from.
