When I engage my standby switch, it doesn't go directly into standby mode. It takes about 5 seconds for it to fully engage. Kinda like slowly turning the volume down. Is this normal?
On my Maz 18, to my ears at least, when I put it in standby, if I hit a string right after that, there is no sound. On my 8, if I hit a string after engaging standy switch, it will play the note for a few seconds and the sound fades out.

Yes do to the excessive filtering the power supply needs to run Triode mode , it does take a bit longer for the caps to discharge. DR.Z

And I'm the only one wondering what a "stanby" switch is for? ;-)
