Aren't these the same thing at he end of the day?
i really don't want to have to be shipping my amp around if I don't have to. Seems like if I bought an airbreak it would be the same as getting a master volume on my monza
What would you do?
I already have the break lite.

The master mod is more versatile to me. Also depends on how quiet you want to make it. The master will take it down more than the brake lite.

Go for the MV mod- I had my Monza done and it is amazing! Great tone (and fun) in a bedroom amp! I'd sell the Brakelite if you have to raise money to get the MV. Should only be an additional $50 over what you can get for the BL.

the brake lite and the MV do not do the same thing for the Monza. The MV mod will allow to run the volume all the way to whisper quiet where the Brake lite will just bring the volume down a bit. I sold my brake like, once I had the MV mod installed Todd

Do you guys think the tone and sustain are still there with the master volume modification. I was thinking my main use is at rather low volume drums un-miked and 100 watt pa for vocals. Will the Monza work because my mini z is perfect. help.

Tone and sustain definitely there with the MV. You would not believe the tonal ranges available to you with the mod. Since I've had it done I'm now considering doing it to my MAZ GT - yes, it's that good! BTW sold my BL quickly for $100 ... Not missing it at all. Only downside is that you could move the BL (I didn't because it was installed in the Monza).

I decided to get the Air Brake to tame it down a little. It does a pretty good job without turning the sound to rubber.

Just removed the brake lite last week - had the MV mod done a couple months back and forgot the BL was even in there!
