I was wondering how the clean headroom is on the route 66? I have a 20 watt Marshall 2061X and was wondering if the route 66 would have more clean headroom then the Marshall. Can anyone help me out with some advise? Thanks..

If you keep the treble and bass below noon, you'll expand your headroom a bit. Especially treble, I've found. Below noon, the tone controls act like a normal tone stack. Above noon, they add gain in that frequency range. This adds a lot of flexibility and tones to the amp. Absolutely beautiful cleans!

Oh, and the 66 is pretty loud. I think you'll be fine headroom-wise.

Thank you prspastor sounds like the route 66 may be a nice compliment to my Remedy. I love the Remedy. It gets great cleans and has plenty enough headroom. I like the 2061x but it does lack in the headroom compared to the Remedy. I been curious about the Route 66 for a few years now. I wish there was one I could test drive where I live. I may have to check out a Route 66. I also read your other posts about the route with the g12h30 I also like that speaker. I have a cab with a Gold in it too and that speaker with the Remedy is awesome. I also like the g12h30 with the Remedy. I wonder how the 66 would sound with the Gold? Anyway thanks Brother.
