Hi. I recently purchased a 6545 2nd hand (of course). It is in showroom condition on the outside. However, on the SRZ side it has two push/pull knobs that change the gain stages on the treble knob and the gain knob. This leads me to believe that at some point it was modded by someone, esp. since I don't see that discussed when other owners post their settings on this board. I would just like to know for sure from someone who knows- It won't hurt my feelings at all; I'm really happy about way it sounds, though it seems nothing like any of the SRZ sound clips I've found on the web (Those were cool too but different). I haven't had a peek on the inside yet, I figured this would be a good first step in the prognosis.
Thanks for your time.

I had a 6545 and mine did not have any push/pull pots. I actually miss my 6545 quite a bit.

I don't recall the good dr. ever using a push/pull knob. Mine does not have any. It would be interesting to find another to do a side by side comparison.

Ditto. I've not heard of any 6545 mods by the Doc. This does not mean it didn't happen but I didn't hear about it.
