Hey, Here's a follow-up to my "MonzaBilly" clips. Seems I'm the only one posting the less gnarly side of this beast. This weekend my Jump Blues band did a video shoot, and here are rough mixes of three audio tracks. Me, Upright Bass, acoustic Piano, cocktail kit drums and vocalist. I was playing my 335 w/ Lollar Imperials straight into the Monza 1x10 combo with an Emi Ramrod........you're also hearing a wee bit of an old Princeton Reverb I run along with it, primarily for Verb, Trem and a wee bit of clean clarity up top. I'm not switching between them, though.....just running both at the same time. You're mostly hearing Monz, though, especially when I dig in. The Z was @ Volume = 9oClock, Drive @11 and Tone @ 2. Two clicks on the Brakelite, so I could balance both amps and not overwhelm the band. Rhumba: www.jimfogarty.com/tunes/monzaclips/Hound%20Dog_tk1_v1.mp3Swing: www.jimfogarty.com/tunes/monzaclips/Thats%20All_tk1_v1.mp3Slide: www.jimfogarty.com/tunes/monzaclips/Don't%20You%20Lie%20To%20Me_tk1_v1.mp3 Curious what you think. I'm still undecided about the amp. I like it, but I'm not really using it to it's full potential. Probably less than 1/2 my electric gigs cry out for that balls to the wall thing it does SO well. On the other hand, it's a very dynamic amp that FEELS great under your fingers. As I said, no pedals on these tracks, and I hardly even touched my volume controls.......just dug in a wee bit and it gave up the dirt, nicely. I have the Monz up for sale, but on hearing these....I dunno. The gear merry-go-round!!!! lol - Jim

Nice! That swing thing, right around 1:50 when you solo comes in, that's cool tone man. "Clean enough." I like it.
