Or the pre-amp tubes as well. I replaced my power tubes last year and understand they are good for about 300 hrs., but I really have no clue on the others!

Preamp tubes last a really long time and don't fade like power tubes, or at least not as fast, since they handle lower voltages. My general advice is leave them alone unless things start to get noisy or tone changes dramatically. The only caveat to that is that the phase inverter might need changing more often. It's the one next to the power tubes. Some folks say every other power tube change. Personally I think they go longer. With preamp tubes I'm a if it ain't broke kind of guy. Now if you want to experiment for the fun of it to see what other tubes do, have at it. I go through periods of that too. Big reminder, if you do experiment with tubes be sure and mark which tubes were in which position before you start so if you want to go back you can. It's easy to forget once you get into it.

Thanks for the the advice headshrinker. I may experiment a bit. I'll have to see what the PI tube is. I've forgotten what it is on the Rx Jr.

On Most amps and Z-Amps the PI is closest to the Power Tubes.
Stock is usually a JJ ECC83S.
