Hey,
I have a Z 1x10 cab with an Emi Ramrod, and another 66 possibly on the way. HAs anyone tried these two together? Obviously, I don't expect it to kill like a Zbest, but with a Brake Lite, I wonder if it will be a decent lower volume solution?
BTW, I traded my last 66 for a Monza. The Monz is killer, but it's no 66. Hence, the Monza is now up for sale. Heh.
As the gear turns!

Surprisingly it sounds pretty good through the 10" RF. Not quite as big as the 12" gold that I normally use but still good.

just got a 110 for my 66 today. It has a Gold in it, 40 watts, 98 db of "sensitivity". To answer your volume lowering question, one thing I noticed today coming straight from a 12" speaker with less handling BUT a higher sensitivity is that the 10" was not as loud, nor as full in the lows. But then I dialed in the amp differently until satisfied with some aspect of the sound and as a result it was probably just as loud as it was with the 12". There are exceptions, and I'm not saying what caused what perceptions within my little acorn mind today, but there's some fodder for us to both think about.
(edit: mine aren't Z cabs though ....)

hey man, just to add a bit more on the lower volume thing
I've been startled this evening how much easier it is to get a full crunch at bedroom volumes with this 110 -- really low volumes! I had the same idea as you kinda, and yep I think it's working
... I love my 66 ....

ZOMBIE THREAD!!! Lol Here's an old family photo (everything in it is now gone!), but I will soon be able to recreate it. The Route 66 was great into the Z 1x10 w/ Gold. Most of the mojo of running it into larger speakers/cabs at indoor volumes. Can't wait to get back to this!
