Have done a search for the Hall Amplification VVR3 - variable power controller and nothing has come up. Has anyone used this controller as a way to reduce the volume/sound output of their amps. Another alternative would be to remove 2 el84s to reduce the power. Could either of these methods work with a Stangray

I know that the removing 2 tubes route will not work. I believe Doc will say, Do not do that!
I don't know anything about the variable power control idea

I know that the removing 2 tubes route will not work. I believe Doc will say, Do not do that! If I remember correctly, pulling two tubes doesn't work on cathode biased amps? Can anyone confirm this?
