Anybody know what kind of bulb goes behind the jewel? Need to buy a new replacement and have no idea where to start.

Should be a standard #47 Almost every auto parts store has them. About a dollar will get you one. I have a whole box of them.

Thanks... I had no idea where to start. I'll pick a couple up and give them a try. I appreciate your help.

I went to 5 different places trying to find a #47... no one had any. The last place I stopped (which was closest to home for what its worth) had a #44 which is the exact same bulb... but 10 watts brighter. Thanks for the help

I would be careful using a brighter bulb as that = more heat as well. I have a whole box and can get them ordered, my local store is small and the owner will get me things. I had to order the box I got actually now that I think about it, it had been years ago and I kind of forgot until you mentioned it. They will likely want you to buy a box of ten since hardly anyone ever buy a #47 Let me know if you cannot find and I can mail you a couple.
I am sorry I forgot to mention I had to order them at the store. It was back in like 05' or 06', been a little while.

I didn't think it would make that much difference... Is it really bad? I have never replaced a bulb before. I thought it looked kinda cool when I turned it on... but if I am endangering the amp at all I will take it back out. What do you think?

I doubt it will hurt it, I just usually replace things like bulbs with the exact same one but I am kind of the ocd type when it somes to worrying about stuff like that. I don't know if it could build up enought heat to cause problems, I doubt it.

Thanks for the follow up comment. Like I said, I don't have a lot of experience and don't want to damage the cool little tone monster...
