I just recently put a G12H30 Heritage speaker in my 1x12 Z cab using with my Ray, Now when I turn on any pedal especially those with single button, or a Boss style I get a Pop , a LOUD Pop, not just the pedal coming on, off too..... Could this be like a Polarity thing>?? I know running my Ray and SRZ or My Super Reverb in stereo requires me to use the 180 Phase switch. But this is happenoing just when the Timmy on or off in mono configuration, it even makes this noise when I bYpass My switching/ Looping system I use. Any help or suggestions are appreciated. Happy Thanksgiving to all, Jamie

Hi Jamie.
Unfortunately I can't bring any constructive advise to this specific issue, but you may want to post this question in the "Ask the Experts" section - maybe get more exposure there.
Good luck.

I came across this at the Proguitar website - never know it might help.
"A note about true bypass…ALWAYS engage then disengage the effect when first powered up to avoid a popping sound. This will discharge the capacitors in the circuit and keep the pedal from popping during performance."

Yep. Important to give all true bypass pedals a couple of clicks before playing. Not sure why the BOSS pedal would be doing it though, could be something similar that has to do with BOSS' switching system. Hopefully this works for you...let us know.

Happy Thanksgiving to all, Jamie The speaker change has nothing to do with the popping sound. You can confirm this by plugging into a different cab.
