My board with some updates! I’m sure you agree but I just think Walrus Audio Deep Six has the coolest graphics line up ever! I’ve got the Angler fish on my compressor pedal and I love how they integrated the fish antenna as the led light. I was debating between the deep six and the forest green compressor and I went with the fgc. The company I bought it from accidentally sent me the handwired version (I paid for a used PCB model). It is a phenomenal compressor and I have no reason to look elsewhere. The Julia sounds amazinggg and it is my first walrus pedal. Don’t think it’ll be my last!

Btw, I told the company of their mistake and they let me keep it anyway. Talk about great customer service

Btw, I told the company of their mistake and they let me keep it anyway. Talk about great customer service You know what’s funny, I had a similar thing with mine. I ordered the diamond jr compressor and instantly had second thoughts on it due to the fact that there was no blend control. I called the company and discussed my concern and he recommended the walrus (also what he used on his board). He informed me to decline the diamond jr. compressor package when it arrived, he would ship the walrus back out to me, and not to worry about the cost difference.

You’re one lucky sob! lol I’ve heard great things about that compressor too. There’s pretty much a small selection at the top of the compressor pyramid but I think at that price point they’re all great.

I hear great great things about the deep six. Would love to try one some day. Love the angler one too!

My first board with a loop switcher. Doesn’t quite fit but I don’t need to stomp on the far left. I’ll make some changes when I forget about how long it took me to wire this thing up! (My first time making all the cables myself, too.)

Very nice set up Dave.
Do you ever run 2 amps with the Keeley 30ms Double Tracker ? Bet that would sound awesome.
I've watched all the demos of that pedal I could find. There are many good ones, but I think this is my favorite. All the guitars in this demo sound great to me, but the tone Andy gets from the Reverend at 2:30 is just beautiful.

I have and it sounds really ,really good. It's a pain to set up though, the trumpet section gets in my way! I run it mono and usually use the Abby Road setting.

Got around to cleaning out the music room today so got a pic of the board - this is a wide Holeyboard, natural that I stained walnut. As you can see, I’m a fan of Fulltone.

Looking at all these boards makes me wonder if most folks tend to gravitate to a particular brand or not.
I obviously lean to Fulltone and 5 of the 10 pedals on my board (counting the tuner and switcher) are Fulltone.

Just fit another guy on there. I love it. You follow my single, elegantly simple rule for pedalboard design: If it doesn't fit, force it!!!

Trying a new smaller board Nice! Tell us how your KOT is wired. I notice you have the 4 jack version.

Hey Lou, Yes, I was using a loop switcher, so I got the 4 jack version, so I can switch each side separate from each other. I got the red side "High Gain" version. Everything else is the standard. In the picture I just have a patch cord jumped between the two center jacks.
I just got the KoT a week or so ago. Sounds pretty sweet with my EZG. Hopefully I'm done with the OD pedal hunting!

FINALLY at a place where I'm happy with my board! It's been a long time - and a lot of pedals - but I've finally nailed it. I just got tired of trying pair this with that, and always compromising the tone some how. Well, no more! How about a before and after you ask? OK (try not to make too much fun of the old board - that was a long time ago when I was younger and unwise ):

I finally got my board dialed in with 4 pedals that all sound great and are very useful for my playing style. I been waiting for months for Jesse Davey at Kingtone Guitar to build me my FUZZ and I am so impressed with it as well as the Duellist If you are a Straocaster player you owe it to yourself to try the Duellist. The Lovepedal Tchula is also awesome. I been using the Strymon El cap for years. I been gigging for quite a few months with the bare minimum but now I got my board finished!

Glad you are loving your board! What are the details on the fuzz and the duelist? The FUZZ is incredible he uses NKT transistors in it. It has three settings vintage,Zonk, Fat/full all three sound great plus it has a bias light which you dial in and when it lights up it lets you know the pedal is biased correctly. You know how some germanium fuzz can be temperamental do to heat and weather changes well this fixes that because you will always be able to dial it in. He actually makes a larger version called the Vintage Fuzz which I really wanted to buy that has some other interesting features but since I have the smaller board I just went with this one. The Duellist is two pedals in one its a tube screamer on one side with three settings Glass-stock-Fat and the other side is a bluesbreaker with the same settings glass-stock-fat its the best overdrive pedal I have ever heard. I don't even like overdrive pedals that much but this one is insane. It has such a pure tone. I also really like the Tchula. Here is the video that really sold me on it with Josh Smith and the captain. Josh goes through his board and effects and when he changes to the strat he uses the Duellist. It will give you and idea of what the tube screamer side sounds like. Both sides are great IMHO. www.kingtoneguitar.com/NEWSTORE/

I used to have the Flint (great pedal, it made me loving trem and verb so much that I've bought a Z-Lux). The El Cap is THE standard to me (don't have it anymore either but wondering about getting a new one). The Deco was my biggest surprise. The overdrive side is so warm and natural. I tend to use it way more than my "real" overdrive pedals. And the double tracker side is amazing also. What is your Jam pedal? Od or fuzz?

Nice board Dean! Give me some detail on the I/O patch points on the upper right side. What jacks did you use, how are they mounted, etc.
