I just can't get my head around this...I want to take out 2 of the 4 power amp tubes of my original RX. my question is, which of the speaker outputs should I then use? one person said that I should use the 4 ohm and another said the 16 ohm (currently in the 8 ohm with the Celestion V30)
anybody done it already?

...or perhaps I should just leave it alone?

Do not do this. This is not advised and might even damage the amp...you can do this on a fender twin and maybe some marshals but you should NOT try this on any of Z's 4-el84 amps. Try an airbrake if you're looking to reduce the volume while keeping the amp turned up to the sweet spot.

Yeah, the RxEs / Rx is not configured like other 4 x EL84 amps (or other amps). You can not just simply take out tubes to reduce the power.
Part of the magic. . .
