Well, I finally jumped in. Really diggin it, and surprised by a couple of things. I am a huge fan of the Stangray, and was on the fence between that and the Rx Jr. I just connected the Jr to a Gold, and dialed in some tone VERY close to what I was dialing the Ray into This surprised me for some reason, and I thought the Jr was supposed to be more Marshally It actually sounds more Marshally with the G12-65 that came with it, I really dig this speaker too. But the Gold ... Dag Was curious about one thing ... I have an amp switcher, and I dial in my pedal to add "whatever" with only a slight volume gain when stomped. It adds a slight volume gain to most of my amps, but the Jr winds up being a Bit more volume. Is the Jr, or Doc's amps more sensitive to pedals ? Really dig the tone of this Bad Boy Oh ... Eye Candy .... below

The Jr has a significant volume boost that is why I either leave the OD on all the time (usually) or off and re-adjust my settings. You still have the option of plugging your guitar into the low input and a channel switching pedal into the high input of the amp and you can get a smaller amount of boost that way - just a thought if that is what you were after with your amp switcher. Congrats on your setup looks super clean and same settings as mine just about. Enjoy it!

Enjoy it! from what i've heard it will not work well to use the switcher pedal as a channel switcher because it will cause a pop sound every time you change it. The Jr. was not designed to do this.

That's actually not how I'm using it ...
I have ... __________________________________________________ Fender Deluxe Reverb Guitar -> bunch_of _effects -> Lehle 1@3 Amp switcher -> Dr Z Rx Jr __________________________________________________Mesa Lonestar Classic
while some of the bunch_of_effects add a little boost to the Deluxe Reverb and Lonestar, the same effect setting really seems to goose the Z
P.S. I got a bit different tone now that I moved the Cab off of the floor it's now on top of another cab, and is a bit less bass boomy. With the Gold at that height, getting wicked full jangle, very Ray like :-) Really diggin it, nice surprise

I think the JR. is an amp that really responds to the speakers you have in it. I have two h30's and mine sounds more fendery. I think with a swap with some blues it'll be more voxy and jangley. And, I'm sure with some greenbacks it would be vintage marshall bliss.

Sounds like you're glad that Jr came your way. You'll spend countless hours turning the controls on the amp and messing with pedals. I think it's the most pedal friendly Z I've owned so far.
Congratulations!

Thanks Jordan, I'm reallin diggin it
Just swapped out a bunch of tubes, to see which ones were hittin my note
The TADs were a little more upper mid, really getting a Stangray jangle. The JJ's lost a little jangle, but got a little more punchy bass Goin to stick with the JJs ... for now
Tried a JJ EF806 instead of the Dario seemed to have a little more oomph, but a tad brighter and perhaps a tad more hiss Going back to the Dario, once that sucker cools down :-)
