Boy I think I if was to buy a Z today it would be a GT. I can't believe that I wasn't giving this amp enough of a look. Seams a lot like what I'm working with now. Not over all tone but the idea of one sound and up or down the volume. Really the GT seams to clean up better, but I'm using a boost pedal to get there not just he amp.s

Dave, Of the six Z amps I've owned, the GT is still my favorite. It is an amazing piece of equipment.

Does it tend to loose alot of volume when you idle it back a little? The video from Z made it look like there was some but not alot.

Does it tend to loose alot of volume when you idle it back a little? The video from Z made it look like there was some but not alot. The GT maintains volume the best of my Zs when you roll the guitar volume back. It's actually created some problems for me when I pair up amps for my stereo rig. The other amps tend to drop out quite a bit more than the GT. Because of that I've been messing around w/ the Galaxie and the SRZ paired up for an upcoming gig. I love the GT's tone more, but it doesn't play as well w/ others...
