Anyone here using a Goodrich Volume Pedal with their Z? I think there are a couple different models... Results?
I was thinking about purchasing one of these to use with my Ghia for times when reaching for the guitar volume knob isn't practical.

I've read that the Goodrich is the best. Having said that, I've used a lot of different volume pedals over the years. Currently I use one of those cheap plastic volume pedals that keyboard players use. I honestly think it sounds great and the taper is fine. Actually I have two of them. I bought them both used at vintage guitar shows and they were only $15 each! One of them is stereo. I was using that pedal to use the piezo bridge pickup and the magnetic pickups on my guitar thru the same effects and one amp. I was using and a/b/y box after the volume pedal.

I've got a Sho Bud that I bought new 30 years ago. At one point the pot got scratchy so I had a store replace the pot and they never got it right so I never used it again. I've also got a couple of the old DeArmond volume pedals that have the tone pot that you twist the pedal sideways to use. Unfortunately both of those pedals have a gritty feel so I've never used them. Does anyone know someone who knows how to work on this kind of obscure stone-age stuff?

Thanks for the tip, Dave. I remember looking there and it was kind of a Rube Goldberg thing and I just said to myself "I'll play with this thing some other time" and put it away and that was that. I do like it's retro look so maybe I should check it out again! It probably needs another pot after sitting all these years.
