I've seen them go used for as low as $1200 recently. Can you find out the serial #? Only 35 LEs were built I believe. New ones are $1749 with a warranty.

This person is claiming this is Brand new. It's my understanding there is not any difference between this and a new one other than the tolex colors.. So am I correct in assuming this is a bit high price. ?

They've had it a while - they might want to get their money out of it. Doesn't hurt to ask if that's as low as they will go. Or at least include shipping. Tell them you know its been sitting there and ask if they are willing to deal

On another note I could order a new one from Humbucker and I am sure order it in Black with a green valance or Green with a black valance which would also be cool and very different. I can't find the older ad but I know this LE has been on sale for at least 6 months or more.

Picture posting doesn't seem to work unless signed in to AOL Wonder if he has the warranty card?? Would be worth asking about it.

Nice looking amp Yeah it's sharp. I just wonder how much you can trust that it's been sitting in the carton since it was built. I know from my own experience that something sitting around in a smoke free home can stay nice looking along time. He's asking 1500.00 I offered him 1200.00 ..I guess I'll wait to see if he responds.

Doc sold those for $1500 new (I have # 27 ;D ), but that was before he brought the SRZ back into production...given that a brand new one is selling for a couple hundred dollars more and it's "collectability," he may be stiff on that price to recoup what he put in. Not a great deal, but if the LE is what you want, there are few other options.

I'd still have to pay 50 for shipping... The only thing different than one for 1749.00 is the color and no warranty ?? What are my other options??

As I see the options: 1) Pay the $1450 and get a "NOS" SRZ with no warranty (counter-offer with $1,300 shipped and see what he says) No one gets what they paid for an amp when selling it used. 2) Pay $1750 get new SRZ with warranty 3) keep looking for a more reasonably priced SRZ - market is still very soft and you should find one for around 1200-1300 though you'll have to be patient. 4) Look for 6545 - two amps for the price of one (I just got one from StrangeC here on the forum for $1350 shipped - One on E-bay last week didn't get any takers at $1299. Probably be relisted soon. I was originally looking at SRZ LE and found one for $1200 but held out and got 6545 instead.

My Interest in the SRZ is the MV and Presence controls. For where I play I doubt 65 watts would ever com close to be used. I appreciate your suggestions. The party with the #35 LE seems to feel he's giving me $350.00 off because that's what a new one would cost. I'll agree with you. Anyone thinking they should get back what they paid is going to have a long wait in selling something. I notice that in the BST. As I stated before- I don't have to have an LE. They were made when it didn't look like DOC was going to make a stock run of SRZ's. Now that he is, and they are easy to get. An SRZ-LE is less of a rare treasure. Thanks for your input.

The Master volume on the 6545 works really well - had it down to a whisper this morning and the 65 side still had a ton of grit! Where do you live? Maybe a trip up to Michigan is in order You can play it to see if you like it or not. As you can see by my signature line, I also have a number of other Z amps that you don't seem to have and you could compare to see if the 6545 is what you need or is it something else. ;D

Rickenbacker I will Assure you That if you wait and be patient The SRZ will Be well Worth the wait! There are some out there you just gotta keep looking and By the way The MV and Presence controls are AWESOME on the SRZ! It will sing sweet or Cook into a Roaring Tone machine! My only downfall on the SRZ is I wish the Doc would make more 2 ch amps! I made threads about an all Class A 25-40 watter with 2 ch EL34 but nothing not even a response, Id like to try a 6545 but , I hear they dont sound like the Standard SRZ? on the 65 Ch??
