Hey everyone, I'm new to the thread even though I've been playing my route 66 through the z best cab for about 10 years now! Quick question, I absolutely love and adore the z best cab, but I've started playing smaller venues, would a z 1x12 cab make a difference in volume? Just wonder for those of you guys who've played through a 1x12. You can never have too many cabs (or heads for that matter). Any comments would be greatly appreciated!!

Hey Drew Welcome Aboard! Being new I take it You also own an SRZ and a 66? AWESOME! I have recently went through this same problem... My 4x12 Cabs are The Holy Grail of rock Tone with Both of my Z's however I'm just too lazy to pack all that $#! I even have a 2x12 and dont take that out unless I'm outdoor gigging or in a big venue. ;D I have been using a 1x2 Marshall Cab with a Celestion Gold it delivers good Cleans and has tons of Bottom and I can use it with my SRZ or My Stangray! Its a very efficient speaker being like 102db? I think ?, they are LOud as Hell! I found out they sound a bit more airy with a semi open back Cab not totally closed They also sound best when good and broken in. check out some of the Speaker and cab Forums on Suggestions. The Redfang is another great speaker, but may not be the cleanest speaker but very loud and killer Bottom and Mid Balance. Well Keep us posted and welcome, Jamie
