Can the airbrake be used with a Super Reverb? I have a feeling the answer is no, and if not, can an airbrake be modified so that it can? I've seen the insides of an airbrake and it's a pretty simple design, so I wondered if it could be modded pretty easily to accept the lower impedance.

Well there is a big difference between a "design" and a schematic. Yeah, it seems the Airbrake is pretty simple, but a whole lot of algebra went under the bridge getting that thing properly figured out (designed). My gut reaction is that you could mod the Airbrake for use with a 2 ohm amp. My brain tells me though, don't say that unless you know how. And I don't.

Hope I didn't make myself misunderstood. The simplicity of the design is no swipe at the designer. In fact, true genius is sometimes reflected through simplicity. Sometimes it's easier to accomplish goals through excessive circuitry, but simpler is often better.

My point is that there are very few folks who have the knowledge of how that thing was designed and how you would modify it, and most of them are not on this forum. And the main designer just passed. So it's not that surprising that you aren't getting a lot of responses.
