Hey guys, new to the board and currently saving for my first Z, can't wait! I'm definitely after a Mini Z because I'm an apartment dweller. Anyway I saw that at Humbucker Music they offer a Mini Z with a 10" Red Fang speaker that ups the price to over a grand. Do any of you have this speaker in your Mini and could tell me the difference in sounds, is it that much of an upgrade? Thanks and happy jamming

I have it in mine and personally I like it a lot. I think it would be a good idea to get the best thing you can justify. I had it on a celestion v 30 before the red fang (head to combo conversion) and it sounded good. I like it a lot better now on the red fang.

Cool thanks for the advice, now it's only the tough decision of what color. By the way is that a Collings 360 as your thumbnail pic? If so, how does that thing sound with your Mini? I ask because that's one of my dream guitars I hope to own someday...Cheers

Good eye, it is a 360 however it is a very rare left handed one I had to have custom built- it is the first left handed 360 ever made. I also have a 290 and dream of a city limits one day.
I think the 360 sounds great on the mini-z. It is a great guitar. Hope you get the chance to own one too.
As far as color goes on the amp, I really like the blonde.

Just received my Mini Z head with a 1x12 Blue. I decided to spend the extra dough after pondering Bluzman's recommendation that the tone was "Like chicken on butter." Boy, was he right, glorious tone. I'm with Alswin, "get the best thing you can justify."

Hey indianroad, that sounds like a sweet setup, any chance you could put something on youtube would be great. The only Mini Z stuff I can find on there is from that mojo guy and they're great but looking for some sound clips of something other than country.
