Is that Dave Baker plugging in? How was it? Is there a clip of the demo following the initial intro?
Oh man does that ever look cool!

Yes that's Dave Baker, and yes, he does a demo with the Doc right after that. Unfortunately..... I had never used this new camcorder (Panasonic TM700) before Z-Fest in a high SPL environment...the audio came out clipped. It's not usable as is. I'm going to try to clean it up and then I'll get it posted. I can't promise anything. I should have gotten an external mike for it....I'll probably never get over being that stupid. I know it was over 120dB with that Z-Wreck fully cranked, and I was only about 20' away.

Man that must have been ear splitting! Phil, thanks so much for the post, too bad about the clipping but that stuff happens when you are learning about new gear.
Great video anyway!

Thanks guys. I'm doing the best I can. Here' what I'm doing on my holiday weekend instead of working on the Z-Fest photos and videos: I've got between 200-300 photos to scan and restore for a Amy's uncle's memorial service in two weeks. A lot of them are like this: Before: After: These are Johnny's two boys (Amy's cousins); the older one on the right is Michael. He was killed when he was 18 when a tractor overturned on him. I'm doing all the family photos, not just Johnny, for Amy's aunt. Good thing I don't have tendonitis or anything...

Hey Phil,
That's great work! my wife is taking a Photoshop class and wants me to ask what your main tools are:
Clone, patch, etc…
She's very impressed about how long that one photo must have taken.
And your Zfest videos are awesome, btw.
Thanks,
Marty

Hey Phil, That's great work! my wife is taking a Photoshop class and wants me to ask what your main tools are: Clone, patch, etc… She's very impressed about how long that one photo must have taken. And your Zfest videos are awesome, btw. Thanks, Marty Thanks guys. Basically it's this: Use Ruler tool to go along a horizontal line in the photo Go to "Image" - "Image Rotation" - Arbitrary It will load the angle of the ruler tool automatically; hit "ok" This will straighten the photo if it was not taken or scanned level correct the exposure and or gamma (midrange) using Levels or Curves, many times using the gray eyedropper to neutralize color casts Use Image-Adjustments-Hue/Saturation and or Color Balance if needed for color casts or one color being over saturated )many times red from scanners or photo aging) Clone tool, Healing tool, and/or Patch tool to fix rips, tears, spots VERY sparing use of Filter-Noise-Dust and Scratches, which will remove detail along with the scratches if set too high. Lots of uses of layers-so that you can selectively apply changes to only part of a photo Use of the Dodge and Burn tools to lighten or darken specific areas of the photo

Wow, nice job on the pics. That'll mean alot to the family, I'm sure. 20 feet away and over 120 db? Holy cow. That must have been what I heard in the air over Chicago last weekend...
