I'm hoping to find a 6545 head. Is anyone contemplating selling or trading one?

"If someone would like to buy the amp, then I would accept a cashiers cheque, then send amp to location in US."
That sounds like one of those emails from Craigslist/Africa Funds things.

Well, that's understandable. Moderators pulled the previous post. Yikes! Are there other instances of crooks invading the forum like this? Occassionally, but they're extremely short lived (i.e. 'short lived' as measured by minutes). Great community here. Self policing - if someone sees something amiss it's usually noted immediately and addressed by a moderator. There are minor guidelines to deter scams as well (i.e. min 50 posts before "selling" an item on the forum). You have to actually be a participating/contributing member to try to sell to the folks on the forum. I've not heard of a single incident of anyone on the forum having had an unfavorable transaction with a sale/purchase initiated on the Z-Forum. Folks here are really on the up-and-up. And, in many cases, because of the friendships/relationships, you're likely to get a much better "deal" (lower price, better shipping offers, better packing, etc). No worries...

I'm with kidmagic, Krusty and Mr Mom. Just put a new dario miniwatt in the 45 side. Sweet.
Sorry Ferg, I couldn't resist. Good luck, I'm sure that one's bound to turn up. It's a great amp!

Did anyone on the board win the 6545 head on e-bay?

I bid on it a few times. It went for a fair price ($1625.00), just a little more than I was willing to go since I didn't really need it, I just wanted it if I could catch a deal. There are several other things that are higher on my GAS priority list at present. Besides, it wasn't red. :-)

I hate to say it, but I would be willing to part with mine. I re-tubed in last year and it really hasn't seen much use as I have been playing an 18 watt head mostly. It is in ex. if not perfect condition (kept in a studio sleeve fitted cover). It has a Mullard "B" NOS EF86 in it that just kills! I also have a Dario Miniwatt ef86 NOS that has never been used as I snagged it at a great price that i'll throw in as well as the custom made cover.
I have toyed with putting it up on E-Bay, but as I said I really hate to sell it as its a wonderful amp and they are hard to come by these days. I'd also prefer to sell it to a member here vs. E-Bay.
If you're still looking ferguson6552, please shoot me a message. The lowest I would be willing to accept for it would be $1,750.00 plus 50 for shipping.

Ferguson, You asked in another thread a while back about if the 45 side could get Stangray like cleans. I can say after having mine for a few months and playing around with the tubes that you can get a very sweet clean from the 45 side. It's not as "3D" as the Stangray and it has a little different tone, but it is a first rate clean sound in it's own right. And I guess I don't need to say anything about the 65 side. I think you'd really dig the 6545. I know I do.

Not anymore, mdlash - *smile*
Thanks for the sale - can't wait to get it!
Now I'm selling my Delta 88. I just like the KT-45 voicing better, that's all.
