Bet the 6545 sounds great with those pedals hitting the front end! This is great some real chatter about the 6545. I modded the 65 side of my 6545 to have a 25k mid pot. It gives a little more of a marshally tone. Lets more mids come through. I am using the 45 side for a great clean tone which I boost with a Hot Cake for a bluesy lead. I use the 65 side for a killer crunch which I boost with a SHO for heavier tunes. And I am using a Budda SUperdrive 18 for my lead tones which are thick and saturated but still have some bit.

Anyone have experience with the Z 210 or 112 cabs and a 6545? Thinking of geting one of those cabs to save my back from the Z best, but would work nicely with my Jr as well Thinking 210 with propritary speakers, or a 112 with a greenie or H30. Local dealer doesn't have anything like that in stock

Local dealer doesn't have anything like that in stock I just ordered a 112, which I intend to run my 6545 through for shows. The Z-Best is killing my back and my car interior trim!!! Plus the sound guys always make me turn down and they shove a single mike in front of one (only) of the Z-Best speakers anyhow. I'm gonna try the 112 with an Eminence Cannabis Rex. I'll let you know how it works out. My only comment on the spekers you're thinking of is that they are both low wattage. I think they would be too low wattage for me to consider in a 112 for that amp. Cheers, Blair

Local dealer doesn't have anything like that in stock For a 112 setup, visit Ted Weber's site for higher wattage versions of the speakers you're after. I have a 112 (JDesign) setup with a Weber Silver Alnico 50 watt and it's killer - sounds great with the Route 66 as well. 6545 sounds killer with a Weber 1230-55/Anico Blue combo as well - really REALLY great actually!

I ended up switching to a Hellatone 60. I guess I'm just a V30 guy. You either love 'em or hate 'em

I was hoping to order a cab and not swap the speaker.
Accorinding to the celestion tone selector I prefer a classic lead, more articulate through the bandwith, less mud (less filling tastes great?). Articulation was one of the things I was looking for, and I'd like to hear more of the amp than the speaker, and 80W.
Oh, and it's "Punchy" <-- refer to the Punchy thread in Z-Lounge
Though the Doc's ten's would be plenty articulate, and handle the power, but I wonder what they sound like with the lense effect from the cab. Would it be more likw a 211 cab?

Cheers, Blair Tone is sooo subjective though so it might be exactly what you are looking for. For me I love the Wizard and the V30 with the 6545. I would love to try a celestion Gold though.

I have not previously run the 6545 through a 112. I have my Z-Best set up with one V30 and one Tonker. That is a combo I like! A 65lb cab...I like a little less. I'll definitely be experimenting some with different speakers when I get my 112. Cheers, Blair

I play my 6545 through an oversized 1x12 open back cab with a weber blue dog alnico 50w speaker and love the tones. I had the weber in an avatar 1x12 cube cab but like the oversized cab for it's open qualities. Either way I'm happy with a 6545 and 1x12. Also the blue dog must have a low efficiency rating 'cause it allows me to push the output section harder that some of the other speakers I own. I do use an airbrake and think the amp responds well with an airbrake, YMMV.
