this amp really does SRV pretty good, on the 65 side, with the mid all the way off and the gain low, about 9 oclock. i was really surprised with this setting, as i was running the gain pretty high. but this amp really does the hendrix "hey joe" tone with the neck pup of a strat.

Cool, i dont own the 6545 but have played it, and am not to suprised when ya think about it. Being the 65 is very Marshally, and SRV's tone was always an amalgamation of amps usually to include a marshall somewhere in there along with fender/dumble. And of course Jimi ! Probably with the mids low its gettin a little closer to fender land, and with the gain low its getting closer to an "old" non master marshall which were really not to Gainy. Its always cool to find an amp that does a great SRV, all by itself !! Rock on!!

you have a z-28 4/10? i miss mine. it was a bear to move around though. i hope to get a 28 head someday again. sweet sparkle

Yeah, its a great amp! It is somethin haulin it though. Ive been mostly with my 66 and a 1-12, Light and portable!!
