Can someone recommend what footswitch I should use with the 6545. A friend told me he tried a Fender but it cause noise...he recommended a mesa boogie footswitch. I haven't yet recieved my head (bought it used) but it doesn't come with the switch so I need to be on the lookout of what and where to buy. Thanks!

You should see if the Doc will sell you one for yours. Atleast that way you have the one that comes with the amp.

I use the little round Roland FS-1. It's got a 3" footprint and works fine.

I just bought the Boss FS5L, a Z dealer told me it would work. I chose it so I could choose my own cord length. Thanks for the post guys!

hey, that's cool - you can use your own guitar cable for that - that's convenient. I'll file that bit of info away somewhere.

Is there any way to switch the 6545 channels without the footswitch?

Not that I have been able to find. You need a foot switch.
