RxJr owners unite! Down with Remedy and Monza hegemony! Long Live the Rx Junior !!
Okay, I'll simmer down now. It's just that I noticed there hasn't been a Junior post since May 1st, and my little blonde mini-stack Jr is over in the corner whimpering and feeling under-appreciated.
So what do you say, brothers, can I get three cheers for Junior?!

Agreed... I really think this is an under-appreciated amp! it seems to take the shadow of the maz jr. but personally i think it's just as versatile in it's own way.

I'll give a shout out. After having a bad experience with my Jr two weeks ago at an outdoor gig (playing into the wind and nothing sounded good) I took it out tonight with no OD pedals and my McCarty Hollow Body and also did not use the OD function on the amp, which I usually have on all the time. Those two things, accompanied with the new JJ's I just put in last week made me a happy Rx Man again. The amp smoked thru 2x12's!!

Just got mine a few weeks ago. Love it with the LP and Tele. It's put my MAZ to the side for a while...

I can only start to imagine how fun it's going to be to finally join this family. I just sold off my Marsahall DSL100 head and a Fender tweed blues deluxe to get this amp. Can't wait!!!
P.S. I have been AMPLESS for 3 weeks guys. And i am surprised I have not flipped out on anyone yet. I miss feeling those speakers working. ONLY TWO MORE WEEKS TO GO... :/

I'll sign on... I love it's wonderful cleans and it's dirty raunch. The RXJr's MV is better than anything else in the Z line-up. People talk about the MAZ Jr's MV, but it can't hold a candle the the RXJr's. Don't tell those guys over on the MAZ Jr pages, but I like my RXJr better! ;D

I had a Maz 38 (which I'm assuming is sufficiently similar to the 18 that I can generalize) and I never warmed to the MV on that model. But the MV on the RxJr is wonderful! Works beautifully. I think it has something to do with an 'edge' that the Jr has in its overdriven sound that the Maz 18 doesn't seem to have. And dsauls89: Much will depend on your speakers, but when you get your Junior try the 'everything dimed' trick with a Les Paul. Oh my, tone and grind and drive and harmonics to die for! And speaking of speakers, I have both the 1x12 convertible and the 2x10 convertible. Using either one gives a wonderful tone, but using BOTH ... twice as good! Very full and rich and 3D.

I finally got a chance this week to burn the dust off the tubes and rattle a few windows with my Jr. after a few busy weeks. Tele (tone control bypassed, with a Voodoo 60's bridge) into a Flying Dragon and Keeley Comp to a 2x12 open back...
::whew:: I needed that ;D

I'll sign on... Don't tell those guys over on the MAZ Jr pages, but I like my RXJr better! ;D Big Maz Brother's watching dude - be afraid. Be very afraid! I'm dying to try out an RX Jr - I think it would compliment the Maz, maybe? Pete ;D

Why are there no videos of this amp?? I hear so many good things about it, but it seems to be a bit "forgotten".
That Master Volume seems to be the way 65amos do theirs and they are making a big thing of it.
Pete ;D

While I like my MAZ Jr, I think my RXJr gets better cleans, and the dirt/raunch is much better. And at least between my two amps (as some my disagree), the RXJr's Master Volume is ten times better. The MAZ Jr's is usable, but it is not nearly as responsive as the RXJr's at low bedroom type levels.

"Is the Master Volume a MV or an Attenuator?" "Yes Post Phase Inverter Dual Ganged Master Volume, one of the Trainwreck MV's. It does sound/ work like an Airbrake."
I am not sure where I found this on here re the Rx Jr, but I had copied and saved it because it caught my attention re the MV responsiveness I loved. It is not your regular MV I guess. If that is true that explains the difference.

I too can testify that the MV on the RX Jr is better than the MAZ Jr. I love both, but for articulate cleans (for me, YMMV)....the RX Jr wins.
As Rich noted, they sound incredible in stereo. Been doing that a lot lately. That way you don't have to decide between your babies. Haha.

Love my Rx Jr. I use it every week. It's my only amp! The cleans are incredible and the thing takes pedals so well like the rest of Doc's designs. I totally agree on the MV thing too. I've played a Maz Jr., but found the MV less impressive. Three cheers for the Rx Jr!

I've always wanted to give one a try, but they're not easy to find around 'ere in Southern Spain!!!! I too wonder why no videos of this amp are around... The RxJr is the second option to getting a new Z (the first would be a Remedy...), but I'd love to get my hands on one... Tons of tone!

Been doing that a lot lately. That way you don't have to decide between your babies. Haha. I don't have that problem - yet! I can imagine what the rest of my band would say if I rocked up with a stereo rig, HAHA! I'm probably gonna get a Monza 1x10 next week, but I'm seriously interested in an RX Jr, and put off by the fact that it's a "forgotten child" in Z world, so how long is it going to be available. I'm also a combo guy, sooooooo .............. Pete

Here's a pic of my famous guitar lean...check out the RX JR and 1-12 Z cab in the background, miked playing for over 1100 people at the Intersection in Grand Rapids! I've had mine for about two years...number 6 off the line, I'm considering putting it at the feet of my casket with my tele strapped across my chest...I don't want to part with my Jr...even in death!
