I love my Ghia, but it isn't loud enough to compete with our bass players 600 watt 6 x 10 rig. So I theorized a Z28 would both give me the sound I wanted as well as have enough volume to compete with the bass guitar .... but, while the Z28 sounded great, it wasn't what I was looking for, so I traded the Z28 head for a Mazerati head, figuring it would give up the kind of chime the Ghia does ... and bingo, yes it does. OK, so the Mazerati with a 1 x 12 can push some air ... but this past Friday I played the Mazerati thru two 1 x 12 cabs - one with a C-Blue, the other with a Jensen Blackbird (also using an Airbrake). Sonically great ... got the comment "I could hear you much better tonight and I didn't know you could play like that" (I'm hoping this is a positive comment! kc
