I had been thinking about getting a Mini (combo) and also thinking about getting a 12" ext cab. And lo and behold there's a Mini head and LOPO cab (with Greenback, just happens to be the speaker I was leaning towards) on e-bay for $675 for the pair.
Man am I tempted!! With my Ghia head and 210 cab I would have all kinds of possibilities covered, and most importantly I would finally be able to get the Z distortion going at a bedroom volume (which is impossible with a Ghia and brakelite...it's just too darn loud.) The only issue would be color scheme. The Mini is red, the LOPO cab is black with red racing stripes (pretty cool looking), my 210 cab is black and the ghia head is a blonde. Looks like I may just have to pull the trigger and then try to find someone to trade a black or red ghia head for my blonde. GAS attack, GAS ATTACK!!! Come on guys talk me out of (into;)) it. Last time I was GASing for a Mini, I spoke with Mike over at FatSound and they had a one-off Mini combo with a 12" - it was the newer version with the attenuator built in. Can't remember the price, but I recall wanting to pull the trigger over the phone.

Can't remember the price, but I recall wanting to pull the trigger over the phone. I actually pulled the trigger on that one today, and will arrive early next week. I originally had money down on a XITS X10, but the wait time was until end of 10' / beginning of 11'. I evaluated once again what I needed from an amp, woke up this morning and somehow knew it was the mini (after weeks of driving my wife nuts with talking about it). The description said it had a G12H30, but the pic showed a V30, which it is. Never played an amp with a V30 and heard break in period could be long, but that is one wait I think I can endure... Anyway, Stu and Mike at Fat Sounds are great to deal with. I would deal with them again without giving it a second thought. mruke
