...end last night. Playing at home I have amazing lows through my Rx Jr, but I played at an event last night and even with dialing back the treble it seemed like there was no depth. Was it because the amp was on a stand? Was it because there were stage curtains all around me?
I wish I had taken a mic' with me, I would have not tried to push the amp so hard and just fed it through the PA.

Wow Jon - I do not have the combo but I'll have to try elevating my cab to see if I loose that much low end. I always have my head & cab on the floor or on my cart with wheels (about 10 inches off the ground) and I've never had that happen, at home or at church or at a gig. Good luck in finding out the sonic culprit.

Good luck in finding out the sonic culprit. I think it just comes down to keeping an amp on the floor. Always hated the sound of any amp I had on a stand, but I wanted it angled up so my son (the drummer) could hear it better. We had a real cramped setup on the stage and I wasn't going to be in any monitor for him.

My guess, it was because of the stand. You lost the body and was left with that raspy high end of the amp. This instantly reminded me of how great the wide open 4x12 sound was with that amp. Was just the perfect blend of body and high end.
