She arrived while I was out of town on a camping trip and I had a chance to fire her up over the lunch hour. Just a strat and a cable. Ended up taking a 2 hour lunch break because I couldn't put the guitar down.
Wow........ I only got the volume to about 9 o'clock with the gain dimed . Amazing sound and I don't think I've hit the sweet spot yet!
I seem to be always buying and selling stuff looking for "that sound" but there are some things that I'll never sell - my '84 Lester, my Rt 66, my wife and kids....... The SRZ LE just joined that club.
OD/Distortion/Boost pedal sale soon to follow once I hit 50 posts.

Turn the gain down, stick the volume up to about 1 o'clock, then go back to the gain and start turning up. The master on 1 o'clock is the sweet spot for mine...

At lunch today #8 will get a work out through a Z-best w/ Weber Blue and a Silver - both 50W alnico's and an open back Z 2x12 w/ G12H and V30. I've borrowed a cab switcher from a friend and will let you know how it goes.

I'm interested in that Blue and Silver report when you get to it. The 50W pair, or even the 75W now available are of interest, here. I have the G12H and the V30 in a Z Best.

Congrats!!!! The SRZ is such an AMAZING amp, I always come back to it no matter what phase I go through, Its the Amp that Started my DR Z Addiction, It has yet to be surpassed by any other amps I own or have owned, I dont think it ever will its that versitile, with the right speaker it be chimey , smokey , or just Flat COOK/BURN with the best of them, Keep the reports coming, I have found that my Timmy and My Klon Clone are the best of all time, but any pedal..... The SRZ inhales

Congratulations on LE#8! I pulled the trigger on LE#31, as my first Z, largely due to Jamie's great enthusiasm. I have been astonished at how great it sounds through a vertical MESA 2x12 with V30's. Incredible classic rock sounds with rich harmonic content. It is a ssophisticated instrument in its own right. Sean M.

I just acquired this amp last Friday. I'll definitely never part with it! I had a chance to buy back one of my old marshalls recently. I was seriously thinking about it until I heard this amp. It looks great and sounds even better!
