They really sound nothing alike, so it's hard to compare them. I've got both, and love each of them. The SRZ has a lot more gain on tap, but the Delta 88 roars with authority as well, if you can open it up a bit. The 88 is more Marshall Majoresque, whereas the SRZ gainwise is more akin to the JMP/JCM Marshalls.

I emailed Myles asking him if he's tried a Komet 60.... He told me that the SRZ puts the Komet 60 to shame.....
It's crazy how a $1800 amp can tear up a $3800 amp.....
Unfortunately, my Z dealer does not have ... I'm trying to convince my dealer to order a prescription ES... have you tried one? If so, how would it differ from my amp...

How do they compare? What do you guys think of the kt-45 side of the 6545? I prefer the KT-45 side to the SRZ 65 side. But, I'm more into the TX vibe for alt - clean tones. The SRZ 65 is great for a hairy rhythm bed or if you're wanting to get those 80's guitar tones - referring to Scorpions, etc, not the chorus/processed ADA type tones like Judas Priest. 65 is definately in the JCM/JMP camp. 6545 is a killer head btw.

You guys are really tempting my appetite for an SRZ... too bad my dealer doesn't have any I'm thinking of a wizard vintage classic, which is apparently Angus Young's main amp...... any of you guys tried one? It's a little expensive at $3k, but everybody says amazing things about these amps..

SRZ 65 should do the Angus Young and more. Finding one for sale is tough, but if you see one for sale, grab it. A great amp to own sure.
