I'm truly not worried about whether there will be another round of SRZs, in the end. If there's demand, the Doc can do what he'd like about meeting a need. It's fun to know that they're sought after, so I enjoy the stories.
Myles, I was being flip about the other suggestions. I thoroughly enjoy mine stock. I picked up a Mullard rectifier, but I haven't felt the need to put it in as yet. Your line about "the core of the the tone of rock music that I grew up with" is the ticket.

Just keep the Mullard rectifier as a spare. Who knows..... the original one might last years. In any case, if it dies and you plug in the Mullard it will probably be the last rectifier you ever have in the amp from a reliability aspect. My amp is totally stock too other than a bit of specific tube selection in the front end. In the back end, the output tubes are now the stock E34LS in a 6 rating sometimes and a 7 rating at other times.

I love my SRZ, and if people want it, they should get it I feel (personnel permitting of course). Yet as the owner of the fallen KT45 I think reissuing the 6545 would not be a bad idea BUT then doc would have 2 channel switchers, the 6545 and the Galaxie. Just food for thought.
