Well I finally received the the SRZ. Man, this is one thick high gain amp. I'm still experimenting with it. Initial impression without using my Air Brake is, it is probably too much power for me. It sounds huge and I have to let a few buddies take a swing at this amp. Build quality is top notch as usual (thnx Doc & crew). So to make a short story long, I've been thrusted from a MAZ JR. 1x12 world and Fender Twin Reverb into the realm of the SRZ. Mind you I have a Route (Interstate) 66 that came to life for me with the Z- Best cabinet I just bought. I guess, I'll have to test more and let BW have a go at it, too. WOW, I'm sure my neighbors are fond of it already. p.s. It is s/n 19 and is uber sexy. Man if you can get an attenuator on there, you just HAVE to get that master volume up to noon - there's a tone of magic up there!

Well the more I've played it the more I love it. I did loan it to a friend that works at Charley's Guitars in Dallas while I was out of town. He LOVED IT and took it to the studio and it will be on the new LORD TRACEY album. He wants to buy it from me......I think his wait might be a long one.

If I get a gig this summer at Texas Motor Speedway can I look you up, Skip? ;^) I could use it at the Main Street Arts Festival in Ft Worth in April if I didn't work with NON UNION musicians...just had to let my membership lapse.
