Michael, The SRZ-65 may be the best "Marshall 2204" ever built. For some of the agressive stuff you play I would think you would like it even more than your Delta 88s. The Delta 88 has a lot of grind and crunch right from the start and the SRZ can be just as crunchy, and even more gainy but also could be cleaner in some settings than the 88. With the master volume of the SRZ you would not have to airbrake it as hard, or maybe not at all in a lot of venues. When you are out this way again you can always play with mine. Maybe the Doc knows of one that is close by where you might be that you can try. Plus .... the Limited Edition ones are RED so it would fit right in your rig. Personally .... if there was ever a player and amp fit that would be in my mind a match made in heaven it would be you and the SRZ-65. I think the SRZ-65 could be one of those amps down the road that would be a "Dumble" status amp if the Doc could keep the total made below 200 or so for the life of the amp and raise the price to $4500 or so. To me the Dumble is to Fender what the SRZ-65 is to Marshall.

I played one yesterday and it sounded AMAZING.....
Oh, if I could only afford it.
My Route 66 with a SRV 65 and a A/B box would be the dream set-up!

Yes both SRZs are mine and I like them but I need Stingrays for my tone. I'm not a collector. Both of these amps have less than 10hrs playing time and they are LIKE NEW ***MINTY***MINTY w/paperwork.

Michael Burks is now playing an SRZ-65 and loves it. Not a big surprise when you listen to his hard driving rock/blues tones. I told him a while back that it was an amp he needs to try out ... he did .... and it is loved by him now.

To me the Dumble is to Fender what the SRZ-65 is to Marshall. Myles, your post has sparked my interest in this amp. What does the SRZ have/do that the marshalls don't? What sets it apart? I remember asking you about the komet amps and you told me the srz is better, I tried to find somebody in town with an srz and couldn't. My closest z dealer didn't have one either. I had a delta 88 and had to let it go because of the volume. I bought the airbrake but didn't like the added compression, found it didn't let the amp breathe. The delta can't be that far off from the srz .... Also, I found the delta to break up right away, at 9:00 is was crunching, does the srz have more headroom? One day I'm going to take a little road trip if I meet somebody who's not too too far from Montreal with an srz...

I do not always get to all posts in all areas. What sets the SRZ apart from a Marshall? Ask Carl Verheyen as a good first source as he replaced his plexi 50 watter with an SRZ after playing them side by side.
