I'm just a mere 24 hours into Rx Jr. ownership and I can already say, "Tone doesn't get much better!" I love an amp that "breathes life" into every string and my combo does that and more. It loves pedals, loves any guitar I plug in and I do believe in time - it will even come to love me. Thanks Dr. Z and crew for building them so well!

;D ;D ;D I was waitin' for that. Still curious about a speaker change? 5751 or 12AX7 in V1? That's fun too

;D ;D ;D I was waitin' for that. Still curious about a speaker change? 5751 or 12AX7 in V1? That's fun too Since it came to me with a Weber Signature Series - a nice bargain speaker, I ordered an Eminence Private Jack to arrive before the amp showed up. The Jack is supposed to be similar to a Greenback, but a tighter bottom and no harse high end. I'm very pleased with it and I haven't even broken it in yet. I'm hearing what I like to hear from my guitar, so unless the speaker goes down - it will stay there. Later I may get an ext. cab and put something different in it. Now you're telling me to experiment with V1? Hmmmmm. I'll get to that when I pay off the loan for the amp. ;D

Everyday continues to be a blast with this amp. My acoustic guitar is sweating bullets because it senses my thoughts about selling it to get a second Z amp to keep at the church for Sunday playing.

You took the words right out of my mouth. I just got my rx-jr a month ago and I still have to say wow!!! when I"m finished playing it. I have owned Marshalls and Mesa"s and the rx-jr just has a something about it.

Hey Stouthearted, Best line of the month: " and I do believe in time - it will even come to love me.". That is awesome! And a symptom of the sickness. Love it!

Did you ever play the RxES? Trying to decide which is the amp to acquire, the Jr. Or the daddy?

Trying to decide which is the amp to acquire, the Jr. Or the daddy? Never had the chance to play the ES, but my buddy Smitty (on the east side of Texas) said the RxES is one of his Z amps he would never part with. Then another friend in New Mexico bought an ES and found the amp love of his life. Well I knew I didn't need all the power of an ES, but the features of the Jr appealed to me. So I bought the Jr. believing it had the same special touch of the Doctor and I haven't been disappointed. Now that I've broken my speaker in, it's even sweeter. The Jr. is plenty loud, but if you want to blow the walls away, then by all means get the ES.

Thanks Stout, Well, I couldn't help myself, and though I shouldn't have, I copped an ES with master volume mod on eBay. Like I need another amp. But "I just gotta try it". I sure don't need that much volume, nut with the master vol and an air brake, I'm hoping it'll be useful. And the waiting begins.

With regards to the ES, I think it's almost too much amp for the general person. I play at churches and my cabs constantly mic'ed. I played both side by side at Humbucker Music in GA, and the JR. definitely opens up at an earlier volume. With the ES I had the thing at 2.5 for it to start opening up and that was freakin loud. I can see why paisley might need something that loud, but for me the JR. was enoughPr
