I have a Vox AC15 Handwirded Head -
Remedy and RXJR
Heritage 30 and C-Blue 1x12 Cabs
Actually it really doesn't matter what my Music Choice is. I should say it isn't much if any surf tunes.
I don't want to know I you think I need one. I am wondering how I'd benefit from one-opposed to just a Verb pedal of sorts. Are they really that cool.
Any sound clips with a Remedy or RXJR?
Thanks

For a amp that doesn't have reverb? The best!
Will you notice the difference? Depends on how close of attention you pay to the sound your reverb makes. Some think the Holy Grail pedal sounds fine. I used to think the Danelectro SpringKing sounded great {and it does compaired to some of the other pedals} but there is no matching the control and depth the Z-verb offers.
I like alot of reverb there is no question, but how to get that sound? Well, I found I like the Z-verb at about 9 oclock all the way accross the board for my basic reverb general playing. Which means my tone of reverb is slightly on the darker side verse say having it at noon which is brighter and more sparkle Fenderish in tone. Then if you want to go surfing you have your choice of turning up the mix or the dwell. The difference would be more of the same taking over your signal or increasing the amount of reverb being generated behind {sort of} your signal. Both do sort of the same thing to most, but it really is different in texture.
It's up to you and your pocket book.
Sorry, I'm lazy. I really should make some clips of the RxJr and Z-verb before I sell or trade my RxJr. It's a really cool sound.

I'm finding more and more that I could probably leave the zverb home and not really notice. In live play things are so loud the reverb really gets buried. The odd time I might use it as an effect where I turn it up so you notice. Like to maybe get a deep swelling Steel guitar effect. But thats hardly ever. Mostly its for a little bit of ambiance which gets lost at club volume. Most of my joy is having it at home in my music room. Pretty expensive toy but I don't think I'd sell it.
