I have a V1 Maz. If you have the volume turned all the way down, you can here a little bit of the guitar out the speaker cab. Then just as you begin to turn the knob to increase volume, you get a sudden jump to a clean tone that is nice for small club levels. By the time you get to 9 o'clock, it's quite loud and starting to get a little hair on it. From that point to completely dimed, the volume level doesn't seem to get that much louder, but it starts growing more hair as you go.
Is there a way to have a smoother taper to the volume knob so that there is a smoother more graduated progression across the full range of motion in the volume knob?

If I understand history, that was why Version 2 came into being. I have version 2 here, and it has to get pretty loud before you start noticing any breakup at all. If you want all of the breakup, you have to go to all of the volume. So I'd say find someone who wants version 1 but has version 2 and trade chassis with them. I'm sure there are better opinions coming just shortly...
