I did it again.
Today I plugged the RxJr into my Avatar 4x12 (2 Heritage Greenbacks, 2 Hellatone 30s), cranked the volume to the max and all three EQs almost to the max, plugged in the Les Paul with WCR Crossroads pickups, a little delay and nothing else. Then I brought the Master Volume up till it was shaking the walls.
All I can say is HOLY COW! What a glorious noise! Full assault Marshall-type tone like the old days. I've been playing for a couple of hours straight, in tonal heaven. My ears are shot, but my soul has been purged and refreshed.
Thanks Doc. Along with so many of your models, the RxJr is a wonderful design. And it was made to push a 4x12.
Mmmmmmmm GOOOOOD!

I read a thread last week about how Vintage 30's sound better in closed back cabs so I put 2 in a closed back and turned up my Rx Jr with my McCarty and then my ASAT (w/Lollars) and Oh My! What a difference a back makes - and this was still at ten o:clock on the master volume with the OD on, and the volume wide open. I gotta get a gig lined up for this set up So much more umph and bottom end.

I didn't get my Jr. until after this thread. Seems like I need to go out into the garage and plug mine into my son's Rivera 4x12 cab.
