I used to use one in the effects loop of my Gibson SuperGoldtone 30 to act as a boost. Worked Great! Since it was after the pre-amp, it goosed the Power Tubes (I think similar to what the OD does on the RxES).

Ronnie's too young to remember that stuff! electro-harmonix from WAY back there in the early sebbemdees, remember the ol' ads in early GP mag? Big Muff/Soul Preacher/Black Finger/Muff Fuzz/Small Stone and lest we forget, the bat-tree powered Mike Matthews FREEDOM AMP! and later, the 'Clone Theory' (always loved that name) and the Memory Man. Linear Power Booster 1. My bud Shelley Hall used to plug one directly into his strat! A switch and a knob, instant boost-0-doom! there was also an LPB2, I think it was the 'on the floor' version......

Hi, In the early '70's I plugged 2 of the LPB-1's together in front of a Gretch Tube amp with a Les Paul with P90s. It made a great antenna. I got great sustain and drive and several local Radio stations.

I have one of the new LPB-1's coming today or tomorrow, it will be cool to see how it works, I am saving for a flying dragon..so I thought this should fit the bill for the meantime...and it's only $39!

yea mine sits at about 9 0' clock...try it at the front and end of your chain when stacking pedals .. your tone will favor the last pedal in your chain that is engaged
