I can't believe how clean this thing is. It looks like it just arrived from the show room The 2X12 Celestion Blue speakers aren't even broke in yet. How do you have a 2003/04 amp and the speakers aren't broke in? The guy I bought it off only had it a month or so and he bought it from a kid that never played it. Can't wait to get home from the office so I can try it tonight. I'll be gigging it this weekend as well. Probably be the first time its been gigged. I paid $1,300 CA ($1,260 US) for it. I think that was a mighty fine deal.

Wow, an amp with Blues at that price is a great deal, but a Mazerati with Blues is a STEAL!

Well had my first gig with the Mazerati last night. Playing this amp at home I didn't think there was a whole lot of difference between it and my Ray. But when at gigging volumes can you ever hear the difference. The Mazerati is a much more revealing amp then the ray. I completely retubed it before I took it out. NOS Jan Philips 12AX7 in V1 a balanced NOS Jan Philips 5751 in PI and brand new JJ EL84's. I thought the Mazerati might replace the ray and I'd end up selling the ray but I think I may keep both. To me the Mazerati makes my CS Nocaster sound twangier and more country. The ray is a bit more of a classic rock sound. Although does country well to.

You know, I agree to a point, but listen to Dave Millsap playing his Mazerati - that ain't country, least ways not in this part of the woods. It is a very versatile amp for sure.

In my setup its fairly easy for me to the Ray really crunchy with rock tones. With Mazerati no matter what I do with my overdrive pedals its got that Brad Paisley tone sort going on. Just sounds really country to me. Its very clear and articulate. Like I said a very revealing amp. Of course the loudest I've had it at the gig is about 10 o clock. I imagine with an airbreak I could get it crunching and rocking.
