Got my Mazerati head about a week ago and this amp is great. I stumbled upon it while looking for a Remedy and was taken right away by it's responsiveness and simplicity. I play gibson's through this thing and I just cannot believe how great it sounds. Gig this weekend so I'll get to fire it up, but right now at basement levels I'm floored. Normally amps turned down this low sound like **** not the case here. The info here on this board was right on about this amp, Thanks.

Have done enough gigs and practices to say it's a keeper. I play with another guitarist (great player) who loves volume and always comments that he struggles to hear me. Not since the rati, it cuts and he hears, and I have yet to dial it past 1/4 of the way yet. I have been using it with either a Catalinbread DLS/SFT or a Barber BUEQ and it really likes pedals and is not fussy at all about cab's. What kind of pedals are folks using with these Rati's? I have used a closed 212, open 112, and an open 115 the amp loves them all. I'm playing through the amp using a Les Paul w/ p94's. Good stuff... last gig our bass player laughed at the 2 knobs and said to me: The knobs should say left testicle and right testicle because that amp is all balls.

Nice board. Gonna have to pull out my RC Booster and try with the Mazerati, the RC has been out of the rotation for awhile now.

I offered my Rati for sale to a young player because he's really good(for 14!) and he really wants a Z. I plugged into it tonight and thought to myself, man I sure hope he doesnt call back! This is one awesome amp. As for drive pedals, I like a Keeley modded Blues Driver best and occassionally use a Keeley TS9 for a thicker sound...both are wonderful with the RAti.

Love it Steve...and you got those setting just about where I like em too! Unfortunately, I got the call tonight...my Mazerati will be going away but...it is going to a good home and I'm gonna swap cabs to get the price down so I get to keep the better looking cab and the better speakers. On the bright side, I may talk myself into getting one if those 1/10 Ghia combos so...it could be worse

Anyone know if that tone bypass mod I have been hearing about on youtube applies to these Rati's? Where can I get a blonde head cabinet? Also latest pedal into Mazerati news... I have been sticking with LP into Catalinbread SFT > DLS > Chili Picasso boost and have gotten good results (at least to my ear) hitting the overdrives (pre SFT/DLS) with either a Timmy or a Red Snapper. If the pedal sucks, man this amp tells you right away!I would love to try Barber LTD or Half Gainer as well. Anyone using these pedals? This amp on it's own is great, but I love those little boxes on the floor too...

Most amps have a tone stack that robs a few db of gain, which can be reclaimed by one method or another. I imagine one could be developed for the 'rati just as well as any other amp. I doubt Dr. Z will be doing that, since the 'rati is not even in production any more.

Apparently it adds considerable gain and volume to that little beast! Can't see how that could apply to the Mazerati as it doesn't have a tone stack Pete ;D
