Man oh Man! A Galaxie on the way, a stangray and EGZ50 in the stable. Jaye and I are coming over to visit. Congratulations on the Galaxie. It's a great amp. Mess with those controls, a lot, to get some of the greatest tones known to man. You already have a Stangray so you know what great el84 tone is all about. And the EGZ for heavenly 6L6 blackface tones, now get ready for righteous tweed swirl and snarling OD tones.
I'm sure you've read the other 'new galaxie; thread in the Galaxie section, JD and T-Rock hit the nail on the head. It's great content.

Thanks Drew, Yeah there's definitely some thoroughbreds in the stable I just couldn't pass up the price on this head. You and Jaye are more than welcome any time my friend. T-Rock is DEFINITELY the AMBASSADOR for this amp ;D

Initial thoughts............ Channel 1 alone is worth the price of admission. Channel 2 could easily put OD pedal makers out of business.

"I bought a new Galaxie this morning from Midtown Music on ebay."
I purchased one of the Galaxie heads just couldn't pass up the deal. First Dr Z amp and will not be the last ('Z.A.S.') Currently have it plugged into an Orange 2x12 with Celestion Vintage 30's. Channel one is phenomenal and channel two, well, hi yo silver! I am constantly amazed that an amp this straight-forward can produce so much quality tone.
After several hours of perusing, then joining, this forum I am leaning toward purchasing the convertible cab with the good Dr.'s 2x10's. This forum is great and has been the best source of information and ideas I have come across. The comments and opinions have been a great help to this student of tone.
Kudos'

Welcome brother, Glad to have you aboard! Lots of good info on this forum and even better people! Just a word of warning it can get very expensive once you get addicted to the Z sound, touch and feel That is one fine example of Z's products you got there. Congratulations
