I was reading some of the posts on the 6545 Side, That is an amazing amp, I almost sold my SRZ to buy one, I dont think my SRZ is too LOUD!It can be Loud. I play with the L:oudest Bass and drummer on the Planet but that doesnt mean I have bad Tone cause i'm not cranked to 11. I usually run my Gain at noon to 2 oclock and just past half way on the volume where venues will permit thats why the Presence and Master Volume are so wonderful!! I can dial up almost anything I need because the SRZ and My Super Reverb were the only thing I had for a long time. 40-50 watts is the ideal amp in most applications because you can push a little bit harder, More Headroom, I got to do some outdoor venues this past Fall! My SRZ was OMG!!! Amazing on about 8! but it was not melting ears. On small venues i run My SRZ with a 2x12 greenback loaded cab, roll the gain up, volume back and I still have that sweet sound. I think the Doc will produce another 50 watter! Which is what the SRZ really is, you can squeeze 10-15 more watts with GT Tubes but I use the 25 watt Tung Sol NOS They are so sweet and are very 6L6ish!! Give them a try! Does anyone else feel the Doc will not Make anymore Big Amps! The SRZ is The Best amp for that Marshall sound and while the Remedy has been good, its no SRZ! Neither is the KT45
