When I turn my master volume up or down I'm getting a bit of a crackle. Anyone know the fix. I'm assuming I should try tightening the nut down, but what if the pot is dirty?

Is the nut loose?
I'd start by exercising the pot by turning it up and down many times. Then if it needs it, spray a contact cleaner in there... just a little bit while it's being turned. Be careful tightening the nut as I have over-tightened pots on amps and guitars before and recently. Some don't take much pressure. Use a nut driver and just make it snug.
Tighten the chassis screws while you're at it... just in case.

It's the MV for sure. I'm still trying to get the stupid knob off. Man is that thing on there. I need the correct size screw driver for sure. I'll let you guys know what I figure out. Thanks for the help.
